Cotton Council International (CCI) will showcase U.S. cotton at the esteemed Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show 2023 (TITAS) from Oct. 17 – 19 at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall.
The COTTON USA™ booth at M 520 will feature a U.S. cotton-rich apparel collection by Taiwanese brands Story Wear and Mobo, which are both COTTON USA™ licensees and U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol members®. Prominent Taiwanese manufacturers Nien Hsing Textile and Chia Her Industrial will also display collections made with U.S. cotton fabric enhanced with TransDRY® and STORM DENIM™ technologies from Cotton Incorporated.
Taiwan has nearly 100 Trust Protocol members plus about 50 overseas subsidiaries. The Trust Protocol is the world’s first sustainable cotton fiber program to offer article-level supply chain transparency. As a voluntary, farm level, science-based sustainability program, it’s the only system that provides quantifiable, verifiable goals and measurement and drives continuous improvement in six key sustainability metrics – land use, soil carbon, water management, soil loss, greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency.
TITAS has been a staple in Taiwan since 1997. Despite the challenges posed by the global economic landscape, TITAS 2023 returns with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, which will be addressed during an ICAC seminar on Oct. 18 and with a celebration of World Cotton Day by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan. The 2023 show will include 381 exhibitors, occupying 952 booths, and over 70 international brands.
