CCI's 10-day Special Trade Mission from India left CCI and U.S. exporters optimistic about future U.S. cotton exports to India. The eight companies represented on the Mission are projected to consume 1.5 million bales of cotton in 2003, of which some 388,550 bales are from the U.S. Mission members expressed appreciation to CCI, Cotton Incorporated and the U.S. cotton industry for the hospitality and for the wealth of information on U.S. cotton and the industry that was shared during the trip. Team members agreed that the U.S. cotton position in the Indian market would be strengthened as a result of the Mission.
